WHAT? Treatment or Terminator mask?!!!

So here at Alleve we have a great opportunity to trial the latest IPL treatment for meibomian gland dysfunction from Designs for Vision - the Eye Light. Frequently used to treat facial rosacea, intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy has been used for several years to treat blocked oil glands responsible for tear film dysfunction and evaporative dry eye. The Eye-Light takes it to another level by incorporating low level light therapy (LLLT) as a mask to heat the upper lids as well. LLLT has also shown to improve healing and treat inflammation.

I am currently trialling an at-home LLLT system - not as intense as the post-IPL treatment but a great way to heat the eyelids and melt that stubborn oil! Feels great and easy to use - we'll keep you updated on how it's going and when it can be expected to be released for general use :)
